FAQ
-
Where does treatment happen?
Treatment sessions will take place in your home. This is a great opportunity as it saves you time as well as allowing the child to work in his natural environment.
A quiet place in your home, such as a kitchen table, or a living room floor, will be the best place for therapy. Limited distractions and creating a quiet environment are also important.

What does treatment look like?
Treatment feels like PLAY to your child. This is important because motivation is a factor in your child’s progress. Play creates a natural and engaging environment for your child’s language skills to blossom.
To you, treatment may look like toy play, but I will be coaching you on what goal each activity is targeting.
-
How long and often are sessions?
Sessions are once a week for 30-45 minutes, depending on your schedule and preference.
-
Can I go through my insurance?
I only accept private pay at this time. Payment is due at time of service. However, upon request I can provide a Super Bill for you to give to your insurance for possible reimbursement. No guarantees are made about what insurance will cover, however.
-
Do I need to be present for your sessions?
Parent education is a large part of my treatment approach. I would prefer if a caregiver was involved in the sessions.

Are there options other than Speech Sprouts in the community?
